UNHSC
(UNITED NATIONS HISTORIC SECURITY COUNCIL )

The Korean War 1950

The clash of ideologies between two resolute men resulted in one of the most significant wars in history- the Korean War. The Communist Northern half led by Kim Il Sung and the American occupied Southern half led by Syngman Rhee, was divided at the 38th parallel. The former was backed by the Soviet Union along with China and the latter was backed by the UN with the US being the principal contributor. According to recent developments the North Korean Army was found invading the borders separating them, on 25th of June 1950, which was not taken in a positive light by the International community and hence forces were deployed to control the situation. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel.

Both governments of the newly formed Korean states claimed to be the sole legitimate government of all Korea, and neither accepted the border (being the 38th parallel) as permanent. Now this committee leaves it to the hands of the delegates to debate, deliberate and bring about a peaceful resolution that might help avert the war between these two disputed countries. The freeze date of the committee is 28th June 1950.

Co - Chairperson

That’s the difference between you and me, you wanna lose small, I wanna win big.”- Harvey Specter

With a lot of experience and a near perfect placement record (don't ask him about the fateful few), Abhishek brings forth in depth knowledge in a wide array of subjects.
He is known in the Bangalore Circuit for his decisive lobbying and an over inquisitive nature (which is kinda annoying). He has a way of making one feel increasingly confident with each word of an otherwise wonderfully structured argument, and brings you down by dissecting it to its very

fallacious cores, all while making you feel like the most important person in the room.

While he isn't weaving webs of eloquence around his fellow delegate's heads, Abhishek enjoys debating the nuances of Indian and international politics, festing, watching sports and playing them, and of course, Suits.

Apart from being a passionate lawyer-in-the-making, he’s

an over enthusiastic RCB fan: So if you plan to insult the team while you talk to him, all the best to you.

Presenting to you, the CO-CHAIRPERSON of UNITED NATIONS HISTORIC SECURITY COUNCIL, Abhishek Girish.

"Walk a mile to avoid a fight, but when one starts, don't back down an inch"

This rising star in the Bangalore circuit attended his first conference in his 9th grade. It's been two years, and he's never looked back since then. Naren is an eloquent delegate, quick with his wit and jovial in his personality.

Having attended numerous conferences both nationally and internationally, he has recieved awards in a wide range of committees. From futuristic to historic, there are only a few committees he hasn't left his mark on.

Known notably across the circuit for placements from NCFEMUN, BIMUN and even a best delegate award at SJBHS MUN, he is an avid debater and sucker for Hollywood cult classics and British heavy metal.
